Institute for Rural Development (IRD) is a non-for-profit organization registered under the Government of Nepal. IRD acts as a platform to channelize and direct knowledge, resources, and authorities to drive holistic development in the grassroot level.

Institute for Rural Development(IRD) is a non governmental (and non-profit) organization registered in Nepal (SWC no. 57712; 356208-81-82). The institution aims to bring diverse expertise and visionary individuals in a single platform to drive and direct sustainable rural development in Nepal through direct involvement with the local community and leadership. IRD works in a range of areas including education, agriculture, heritage conservation, tourism, entrepreneurship, and more through different flagship initiatives and independent projects. Collaboration is at the heart of IRD's approach to development. We collaborate with government sectors at all levels, school administrations, nonprofits, and relevant agencies to guide and amplify developmental works in rural areas of Nepal.
