Travel and Tourism

As part of IRD’s Travel and Tourism sector, we are developing immersive cultural exchange programs designed for students, researchers, and explorers from universities and institutions worldwide. Our goal is to foster a mutual exchange of experiences, perspectives, and knowledge, deepening global understanding through direct engagement with Nepal’s diverse cultures, traditions, and ways of life.

Nepal, with its stunning landscapes, rich heritage, multilingual communities, and deep-rooted traditions, is a living cultural and geographical mosaic. Whether exploring the Himalayan highlands, experiencing the terai plains' agrarian lifestyle, or engaging in centuries-old festivals and rituals, visitors gain firsthand insight into a world shaped by resilience, spirituality, and harmony with nature.

Cultural Exchange Programs

Our cultural exchange programs are designed to immerse participants in authentic local experiences, fostering empathy, cross-cultural learning, and a deeper connection with Nepalese communities. These programs cater to students, researchers, and explorers seeking meaningful engagement with Nepal's diverse cultural landscape.

Through these exchanges, we aim to drive local and global impact, allowing participants to experience Nepal beyond tourism, as active learners, contributors, and storytellers who bridge cultures and foster global understanding.

School Tour Consulting and Advising

In Nepal, students up to grade 10 rarely get opportunities to explore their own country, with annual school tours being one of the few chances for them to travel beyond their hometowns. At IRD, we believe these tours should be more than just sightseeing—they should be transformative learning experiences that broaden perspectives, deepen cultural understanding, and foster a sense of connection to Nepal’s heritage.

The IRD Tourism Team collaborates with schools to design meaningful and educational tour experiences that go beyond entertainment, creating itineraries that maximize learning and exploration while inspiring curiosity and awareness.
